The British boxer prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight round contest which will be shown in real-time on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua said he will "stamp all over" the American and "overpower" his opponent as the combatants confronted each other to build hype for the upcoming boxing match.
Ex two time world boxing king Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami Kaseya Center on 19 December.
Fighter's Mentality
"I will damage his features and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, declared.
"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I will seriously aim to cause him pain. That's my goal."
Respectful Exchange
In spite of these statements, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - typically recognized for his theatrics - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.
Paul rather criticized former Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and called him "a joke" after Ngannou declined a bout proposal.
Targeting Fury
Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at British rival Fury - and declined a large bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul victory.
"Jake Paul is better than Tyson Fury - he showed up," Joshua stated.
"I acknowledge that."
Legitimate Fighter
Despite stating he plans to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to talk badly about his opponent's fighting skills.
"Jake is a credible opponent," he stated.
Jake Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has primarily boxed MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.
He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.
Commercial Attraction
However, the novice remains one of boxing's largest money-making draws, frequently receiving substantial financial rewards.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28 year old forecast a knockout win in round four or five and claimed he would stop the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently under discussion for 2026.
"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul said.
Physical Difference
As both boxers participated in the traditional stare-down, with their size difference evident, it highlighted just how surprising this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the bout is really proceeding.
